Our commitment to engaging students in meaningful, challenging, and innovative educational experiences is reflected in our work to promote biliteracy and bilingualism. We believe this important work does not only mean supporting the language development of our English Language Learners (EL), but also paving their way to fully and meaningfully access and participate in high levels of learning in all content areas.  

 

CUSD's EL Master Plan has been developed to align to the
guiding principles of the CA EL Roadmap. This approach
ensures that our District's policies and practices are
coherent, articulated, and have the primary objective of
supporting the needs of our English Learner students and
