Custodial Department
Day-to-Day Custodial Services Provided:
- Campus Safety and Security
- Confer with the school principal in planning the maintenance and/or cleaning of the school campus
- Waste Management, paper recycle and food waste*
- Inspect buildings and grounds for damage, needed repairs, security, and safety, and take corrective action as appropriate
- Maintenance and repair services (ceiling tiles, re-lamp, and minor repairs)Performs minor repairs and light maintenance tasks such as furniture assembly, desk and locker repair, ceiling tile, and lighting replacement
- Perform custodial work in accordance with daily work schedule:
- Cleaning and disinfecting restrooms/locker rooms
- Dusting, cleaning of hard surfaces
- Sweep, mop, wax, and seal hard surface flooring
- Vacuum, extract, spot clean, and shampoo carpet
- Cleaning of food eating areas
- School sponsored event support (setups/breakdowns/clean-up)
- Respond to special needs
- Proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials including lamp and battery recycling
- Daily interaction with students, staff, and community

- Including but not limited to Safety and site security
- Event preparation
- Restroom care and maintenance

- Surplus furniture and district moves
- Management and oversite of district storage and storage containers
- Fire extinguisher and kitchen hood maintenance and repairs
- Locker maintenance and repairs
Special Projects:
- Support for IAQ projects
- Graffiti and gum removal
- Teacher moves
- Furniture moving/classroom and school set up
- Sealing and refinishing floors
- Shampooing carpeting and upholstery
- Washing windows
- Major cleaning during vacation periods
- Emergency response clean-up and restoration
