About Us

CUSD is committed to providing a quality educational program which enhances the social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development of each child!

We believe that each family brings to the program values and diversity; therefore, we recognize the importance of forming a partnership with parents to create a positive experience for all children. We encourage our families to connect with their teachers, be a part of the classroom when possible, and to take part in their child's learning experience.

Our Early Childhood Programs supports children ages 0-5 years old, and includes general education and special education programs.

We offer the following programs*:
  • Learning Link: An interactive learning center for children and their parents/caregivers. Serves children 0-5.
  • Early Start Program: Our special education program for children with low incidence disabilities. Serves children under 3 years old.
  • Preschool: We offer a variety of preschool programming, including our California State Preschool Program and tuition-based program options. We also have half-day and full-day sessions, as well as language-immersion options. Our preschool programs include general education and special education programs. Our preschool classrooms serve children ages 3-5 years old.
  • Transitional Kindergarten: We currently have 38 TK classrooms, and will continue to expand our TK programs over time. Our District is phasing in Universal Transitional TK, which will be fully implemented by the 2025-26 school year.
