Bus Pass Info
Applications are processed in the order received, on a first come, first serve basis. Although the Transportation Department will make every effort to process each application and provide every student with a bus pass, some schools have very limited bus seating capacity available. Students who do not receive a pass due to overcapacity will be placed on a wait list in the order received.
Application and payment must be received together. Cash is not accepted.

Incomplete applications will be returned.
Annual Round Trip Bus Pass: $575.00 per Student*
Reduced Fare (if eligible): $300.00 per Student*
*The cost of the bus pass is prorated beginning the 1st business day in October and will change the 1st business day of each subsequent month. Contact the Bus Pass Office for more information.
To qualify for a Free or Reduced Fare bus pass, families must be income eligible. Families applying for a Free or Reduced Fare pass must submit proof in the form of a letter from the Capistrano Unified Food and Nutrition Services Department, deeming them eligible for Free or Reduced services. If you do not have a copy of this letter, contact Food and Nutrition Services at (949) 234-9509.
Once the application has been processed, you will receive an email confirmation and you will have the option of picking up the bus pass or it can be mailed out. The student cannot ride the bus until the application has been processed and they have received the bus pass.
Please make sure your child brings the bus pass to the bus stop every day.

* All Bus Pass Applications undergo a review and are subject to changes or cancellation. If a district bus stop is not available, the bus pass application will be cancelled and parent notified via email.

* CUSD does not provide bus service for School of Choice. Parents must transport.
